It’s not often that we receive styled shoot submissions that are a fit for the blog, so we were so excited to get this darling shoot from Buzzing Events. They’ve put together some absolutely gorgeous wedding inspiration that a budget savvy bride can actually afford!

The stylists and coordinators behind Buzzing Events collaborated with some amazing, like-minded, affordable wedding vendors to put together a styled shoot filled with ideas and inspiration for everyday couples getting married on a budget. It couldn’t be more perfect for The Budget Savvy Bride, right?

From the team: “We wanted to create a simple but STUNNING styled shoot where everything you see is exactly what you can have and you can have it for a reasonable price. With so many extravagant, unrealistic styling shoots flooding social media it is easy for couples to get swept up in the madness and forget that keeping things simple can be just as beautiful.”

Oh and see the gorgeous, little lace wedding dress? It was a $10 bargain from Valley Girl (similar to H&M in the USA.) A thrifty bride knows that looking and feeling drop dead gorgeous on her wedding day has nothing to do with the price tag on her dress, amiright? Check out all these gorgeous inspirations!

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

$10 wedding dress…enough said!

We did not go too big with the bouquet. Bouquets do not have to be huge and over the top to still be beautiful and make a statement.

Simple ceremony styling with a small floral arrangement of the arbor and small pots of flowers lining the aisle.

We kept the table styling simple using plain white plates and white napkins, glass tea light holders that can be found anywhere and plain glass vases with floral arrangements. Stationary was once again simple but elegant.

A great tip is to choose wedding table stationery that incorporates their wedding style/colour palette and that way the stationery becomes a part of the table styling allowing you to cut back on unnecessary décor items for the table.

The affordable venue where the styling shoot took place allows couples to bring their own alcohol in, (another great money saving tip). Many of these couples are now spending some of the money they saved by bringing their own drinks on a caravan bar which provides glassware, bar staff and drinks service for the duration of the wedding. They also provide great photo opportunities.

For the cakes time consuming, intricate fondant designs we avoided and more affordable buttercream finishes were chosen.

What’s the best advice you have for couples who are planning a wedding on a budget?

Decide on what the most important elements of the wedding are to you, like an amazing band, great food, a quality DJ service, etc. Choose to splurge a little on these elements and be willing to compromise a bit on the rest.

What’s your favourite detail?

The $10 dress looked just as stunning in real life as it does in the photos so that was one of our favourite things about the shoot. We also loved the loose flowers in the model’s hair. They have such a dramatic effect and really bring the whole look together. Plus, they were a fraction of the price of a big flower crown!

We hope you’ve enjoyed these gorgeous and budget-savvy wedding inspirations!
